Over the years, Frank Donio, Inc. has grown from one man shipping produce out of a barn to a leading national wholesaler of fruits, vegetables and herbs. The company was formally incorporated in the State of New Jersey in 1958.

His vision was simple: purchase South Jersey's finest fruits and vegetables from local farms, personally choose only the best produce, and sell it to area stores and markets, at a fair price. His first major customers were located in the Philadelphia Produce Market and Newark Farmers Market.
The company's customer base now includes many of the premier national and regional retailers and wholesalers of fresh produce in the United States, Canada, and beyond. Frank Donio, Inc. also operates a West Coast Buying office located in Nogales, Arizona. Product is also sourced daily from vendors located around the world.
From Cultivation, irrigation, harvesting, packing and marketing - Frank Donio, Inc. is directly involved with every aspect of the product. Fresh produce arrives daily at the facility in Hammonton from a global network of growers and shippers. Field heat is removed from the product on premises utilizing hydro-cooling, vacuum cooling and forced-air cooling. An on-site ice making facility produces and stores ice for use on all shipments requiring it.
From modest beginnings, the company now has expanded to occupy a 150,000 square foot building with 35 loading bays.
This modern facility is completely refrigerated utilizing a computerized central system for optimal climate control.

Since 1992, Frank Donio, Inc.'s Top Crop brand name has represented the finest selection of fresh produce available. Packing and repacking under the Top Crop label occurs at farms throughout North America and at our Certified Processing Area located in our Hammonton facility.
